Duration: 1.5 hours and tour starts in front of Swissotel Tallinn

The tour starts with a short drive from Swissotel to Toompea hill, where the participants will begin their walking tour of the Old Town. During the walking tour in the Old Town the participants will visit the most important historical sights both in the Upper and Lower town. In the medieval times these two were separate cities, one for the merchants and the other for the ruling nobility. The sights include Palace Square on Toompea Hill and the baroque Toompea Castle, the House of Estonian Parliament; the Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral; the Gothic Dome Church also known as St. Mary’s Cathedral; viewing platform for panoramic views of the Old Town; town hall square where the 15th century gothic Town Hall is situated, and also the Town Hall Pharmacy which is the oldest continuously working pharmacy in Europe.
